Do you have room in your home for some extra love? Consider being a foster! When you foster one our rescues, you are preparing them for their forever happiness! We supply our foster families with a crate or pen, potty training pads, toys, and food. We only ask that you treat our dogs as if they were one of your own!
Foster families play a very important part in the success of a rescue. We are always in need of someone to love on our dogs until they can find someone to do it forever! If you have room in your home, please consider fostering with Puppy Haven.
Volunteer with us!
Volunteers are the heart and soul of PHR. Our dedicated volunteers have enabled us to save thousands of lives and get dogs adopted into their forever homes. There are so many ways to volunteer with us!
We need people to help at public events, assist with weekly adoption days, prepare foster supplies, care for mama dogs and their litters at the Dog House, and aid with transportation of new dogs into the rescue.
Of course, there are also a few options to help behind the scenes as well! Some of these volunteer opportunities might include data entry, administrative tasks, graphic design, photography, and writing grant applications!
We hope you decide to volunteer with us and can’t wait to welcome you into the PHR family!
If you are unable to foster or volunteer with us and want to make a direct contribution to our pups, shop our Amazon or Chewy Wish List for supplies we are in need of! These items can consist of food, potty pads, collars, and TOYS for our dogs! Our wish list also contains items that help us directly with the care of our Dog House. We greatly appreciate any contribution!
Due to our growth the past few years, we have been able to open a private boarding facility that provides housing for urgent dogs. While we are a primarily foster-based rescue, the Dog House provides shelter for both mama dogs and newborn litters, as well as dogs who haven’t yet been placed with a foster. This facility allows us to quickly help high-risk pups and specialize in pregnant mama dogs and litters. It also allows us to provide around the clock care to these residents.
We are so proud of our awesome team and generous donors for making our dream of having this facility a reality! However, intakes are costly. In particular, caring for newborn litters is extremely cost-intensive, in addition to the overhead costs to keep the Dog House operating.
Our monthly expenses are as follows:
The Dog House Rent: $850
The Dog House Utilities: $350
Any donation goes directly to the care of these deserving dogs. A recurring monthly donation goes even further, allowing our team to plan with more stability and comfort. Read below to learn more about a recent impact our boarding facility enabled us to make.
When you donate, you are not only helping to save the lives of our current rescues, but also the lives of so many more!
Sign up and be the first to hear about new pups, events, and more!
