Story: Valentina was born in a strangers shed

Valentina is a gentle, tender-hearted pup who is still finding her confidence after a rough start in life. She and her brother, Thunderbolt, were rescued from a shed where they were left to fend for themselves. While Thunderbolt took on the role of protector, Valentina stayed close to him, relying on his confidence to feel safe. Understandably, she can be shy at first, but once she warms up, she loves nothing more than being held and snuggling in close. Because the siblings were considered flight risks when they first arrived, they haven’t spent much time outside, but Valentina is doing wonderfully inside and enjoys playing with her brother. She sleeps through the night and is using potty pads like a pro! She’s also happiest when she can watch her foster mom interact with other dogs, wagging her tail as if she wants to join in. With time, patience, and a loving home, Valentina will be the most affectionate, loving girl she’s meant to be.
