Theo’s fought for his life a million times over. Now, we fight for him just as hard.
At just 5 months old, Theo find himself on the euthanasia list at a high-volume kill shelter. He had a gnarly leg wound that was causing him alot of pain. Luckily, PHR pulled him and was committed to getting his leg healed.
Unknown to us, the leg wound was just the beginning of Theo’s medical needs.
It turns out, Theo was also battling parvo. His leg wound was more severely infected than we realized, and he developed a nasty upper respiratory infection while at the shelter.
He was immediately hospitalized, and in the fight of his life. It was all just too much for his body to fight off. He had almost no white blood cells. His immune system was failing. It wasn’t looking good and we were more scared for his life than ever before. But he still had a little bit fight left in him, so we kept fighting alongside him.
After a blood transfusion, countless antibiotics, a week of hospitalization, and endless prayers. Theo is out of the hospital.
His leg wound is still deep, painful, and ugly. We still don’t know if he’s going to lose the leg. But he beat pneumonia from his upper respiratory infection, and he beat parvo. We have no idea what his future holds, but we’re happy beyond belief that he even gets to have a future. He’s still fighting.
We haven’t raised nearly enough to cover his hospitalization, let alone what’s to come of his leg. We need help now more than ever.
$1600/$3059 raised for Theo.
