Story: Ruthie was surrendered to us when her owner lost her home

Ruthie is a sweet, low-key senior girl with the most gentle and docile personality. While she’s easygoing, she definitely knows how to speak up when it’s time for cuddles, meals, or a potty break!

This golden girl can be trusted outside of a crate when home alone, as long as food and trash are safely tucked away. Ruthie absolutely loves curling up in bed with her foster family and will need steps or a ramp to help her get up and down comfortably. She wears diapers at night just to be safe, helping everyone rest easy and keeping her comfortable.

At 14 years old, Ruthie gets around wonderfully and still has little playful bursts, occasionally trying to run and play with the other dogs in her foster home. She’s perfectly content doing things at her own pace and doesn’t mind if the younger pups leave her behind. She simply enjoys being part of the fun, soaking in the companionship and household activity in her own sweet way.
