Story: Pooh was surrendered to us by his owner
Meet Pooh, the sweetest, happiest, most delightfully uncoordinated boy you’ll ever meet! His tail never stops wagging (seriously…it should probably come with a warning label), and he’s convinced every person he meets is his new best friend. Pooh’s favorite things in life are running, playing, giving kisses, collecting cuddles, and then crashing on the couch with his people after he’s worn himself out. He’s wonderful with kids and has been around the wild 4 and 7 year old boys, who he absolutely adores. Their chaos? He thinks it’s the best part of the day. He’s great with other dogs! Because he can be protective of his food when meeting new dog friends, he’ll just need to be fed separately for the first few weeks while everyone gets acquainted. Pooh is about 95% potty trained as long as he’s let outside regularly, first thing in the morning, several potty breaks throughout the day, and one last trip before bedtime. When his people are away, he’s crated like a good boy. At night, he usually starts in bed for maximum cuddle time before relocating to either the couch or his own bed when he’s ready to stretch out.
Now, let’s talk about Pooh’s one true love…FOOD! Pooh is gloriously clumsy. Somehow he manages to trip over absolutely nothing, yet can also launch himself over a 4-5 foot fence if something interesting catches his eye. He’s always ready for a game with his toys, loves chewing on buffalo horns, and enjoys romping around with his furry friends. Baths aren’t his favorite activity , but he’s patient and behaves like a gentleman. At the groomer, he’s a total superstar, mani, pedi, blowout…he’s basically at the spa. He’s learning to walk nicely on a leash and already knows “sit” and “shake,” proving he’s got both the brains and the charm. Pooh isn’t looking for perfection, just a family who will laugh at his goofy antics, keep the snacks out of reach, and love him as much as he’ll love them. He’s the kind of dog who steals hearts almost instantly…and maybe a sandwich if you leave it unattended. If you’re ready for endless laughs, unconditional love, and a permanent shadow with a wagging tail, Pooh is waiting to meet you.
