Story: Nia was adopted out as a puppy and returned just recently due to no fault of her own
Nia was one of PHR’s first 300 pups in the rescue.
Nia is truly the sweetest girl and an absolute lover! She has met so many different people and absolutely loves everyone she meets. She just wants to be near her people and will even put her paw on you to show you some love. She is wonderful with kids, loves giving kisses, and is such a respectful, well-mannered girl. Nia is completely potty trained with zero issues in the house, walks really well on a leash, knows basic commands, and is trustworthy to leave home alone. Most of the time, she is perfectly content simply laying wherever her people are and keeping them company.
Nia has been doing great with other dogs during playdates, but because she has experienced some anxiety and nervousness with the changes in her life, she will do best with slow introductions and calm, respectful pups. She is still learning that her kennel is a safe and comfortable place, but she is making progress as her foster works with her. She sleeps peacefully in the bedroom with her foster and has done wonderfully adjusting to her new environment. Overall, Nia is an easygoing, loving girl who just wants a family to call her own and would make an incredible companion!
