Picard is from a group of 12 dogs that were dumped in rural Oklahoma and running dangerously in the street. He and his “brother” were dirty, severely matted, hungry, and very scared. As they were able to decompress and get the necessary vetting, we discovered that Picard is heartworm positive. Heartworm can be fatal if left untreated, as it’s literal worms in the heart & bloodstream. Left unchecked, they continue to grow & spread & take over even the healthiest heart. So we need to raise $460 in funds for Picard’s Heartworm treatment. He’s finally starting to settle into home life, and this is the last step before he’s ready to start searching for forever.
