Tiny KFC was born into the rescue to our girl, Miss Lala. His life was easy, fun, and carefree. And then one day at just 7 weeks old, he started acting strange.
He wasn’t interested in food, water, or playing with his sibling. He would take a drink and then shake his head violently, slinging water everywhere. He wasn’t walking normally. All signs pointed to something neurological.
KFC was rushed to the doctor, and the only indicator that something was wrong was his very messed up electrolyte levels. He was hospitalized for days, getting IV fluids, supplements, and medications to try to stabilize his levels. Tests were sent out, bloodwork was repeated. All with no answers.
Thankfully, KFC’s electrolyte levels did even out to something more normal. And with it, his symptoms fully resolved. His testing came back negative, which is great but leaves us with more question marks than answers. We’re keeping a close eye on him in case anything else changes, but are hopeful he’s on the road to recovery now.
$700/$900 raised for KFC’s hospitalization
