Story: Jonah was on the euthanasia list in OKC
Jonah came to us when he was minutes away from Euthanasia at a city shelter. He had been hit by a car but was stable and nothing was broken, just some cuts. We were expecting a shut down, nervous dog but instead we got a happy, excited loverboy who just wants to hug his people and get pets.
Despite his hard past, Jonah is a happy, cuddly goofball who truly believes he’s a serious guard dog… until you realize he’s actually just a giant teddy bear. One of his favorite pastimes is watching TV with his people, preferably while snuggled as close as possible. He loves to spend his days sitting in the window seat at his foster’s house watching the kids play in the park.
This sweet boy loves hugs and affection and has a joyful way of bouncing around when he’s excited to see you. Jonah is always smiling, always happy, and always ready to cuddle.
He gets along great with other dogs and absolutely adores kids. Because he expresses his happiness with enthusiastic jumps, he may accidentally knock little ones over, so a family comfortable helping him channel his excitement would be a great fit. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate dog who will keep you company on the couch, make you laugh, and shower you with love, Jonah might just be your perfect match.
