Story: James Brown was rescued from a breeder shutdown

Meet James Brown! This sweet boy came from a breeder surrender situation, and because of that he bonds deeply with his people and loves being as close to you as possible. He especially loves the female in the home! James Brown is a total cuddle bug who lives for hugs, snuggles, and being by your side, if he could crawl into your skin for extra cuddles, he probably would. He thrives on connection and is happiest when he knows his people are nearby. He’s still building confidence being alone, so a consistent routine will help him continue to feel safe and secure. With a little patience and structure, he’s already showing just how loving, loyal, and adaptable he can be. He is doing great with potty training when let out regularly and watching his cues. 

James Brown absolutely loves kids and enjoys playing and hanging out right beside them. He’s still a young pup and can get a little jumpy with excitement, but he’s already making great progress. He gets along AMAZINGLY with other dogs and would really benefit from having a confident dog friend to help show him the way. He loves to play and run around the backyard with his foster brothers!

This playful boy is also a toy enthusiast, he loves toys and bones and will happily take every single one out of the basket to enjoy! Being a puppy, he’s still learning boundaries and what’s his vs. not (shoes beware), but he takes correction well and is eager to please. He’s smart and already learned “sit” like a champ! While the kennel is still a work in progress and he may need a little boost getting into the car, he makes up for it by being the ultimate snuggle buddy, he would much rather sleep in bed right next to you at night. With love, patience, and a steady routine, James Brown will blossom into the most devoted, fun-loving best friend
