Story: Dutton was rescued from a hoarding case

Dutton is an incredibly sweet boy who loves nothing more than being with his humans and playing with a good dog friend. Dutton adores other dogs and his biggest hope is that he can have a dog brother or sister of his own when he gets his forever family.

He enjoys carrying around big stuffed toys, exploring outside, and never gets tired of pets and belly rubs. He loves leash walks (on a harness) and does a great job of not pulling unless there’s something super exciting like a new human or dog that he wants to greet. He is playful but enjoys just hanging out, too and when it’s hot outside, he’d rather not leave the cool a/c! He is great with all people and loves kids.

Dutton lived his early puppyhood outdoors, so he is still learning a few ropes of being an indoor dog, but he is doing so well now you would hardly know that indoors once felt strange to him! For nap time and overnight, Dutton sleeps quietly in a tall puppy pen. During the day, he is out and about in the house with his foster humans. He is working on potty training and most days has no accidents, as long as he is let out fairly frequently. Dutton will grow to be a big teddy bear and an amazing companion for his forever family!
