Story: Bobby Jean was saved from a rural shelter with her fam

Bobby Jean is a sweet, easygoing girl who has settled beautifully into foster life. She loves spending time with her people and happily sleeps in bed at night. Curious by nature, she’s always interested in what’s going on around her and enjoys joining her family on walks, where she does well on a leash. Bobby Jean is fully potty trained as long as she’s given regular opportunities to go outside, and she has excellent manners around the house. While she loves being with her people, she also appreciates having her own space and will often take a favorite bone into her kennel to relax and unwind! 

Bobby Jean gets along wonderfully with both younger and older dogs and has shown a gentle, friendly personality around children. One of her sweetest moments was meeting a neighbor’s three year old child! Bobby Jean calmly sat down, happily accepted gentle pets, and wagged her tail the entire time. She is still polishing up commands like sit, down, and stay, and she can get excited when her people come home, so she’s continuing to work on her house manners! Because she’s naturally curious and likes to explore, her foster family recommends keeping a leash attached during the adjustment period in her new home. Bobby Jean has been an absolute joy in foster care with no behavioral concerns and is ready to bring her loving personality to a family of her own!
