Story: Kayda was saved from euthanasia at OKCAW
Saved from euthanasia, Kayda is now learning just how wonderful life can be, and she’s ready to find a family to share it with! This 1 year-old shepherd mix is fully potty and crate trained, knows “sit,” and is very treat motivated. She gets along well with dogs of multiple sizes and would love a doggy sibling to follow around and help show her the ropes.
Kayda is the sweetest, gentlest girl who just wants to be close to her people. She loves to romp around the backyard, play with toys, and soak up the sunshine, but she also has a calm, cuddly side and is just as happy lounging in the grass or laying quietly right next to you. She truly just wants to be wherever her people are. Kayda is working on some occasional excited jumping, usually when she hasn’t seen you in a little while or is just extra happy. It’s more like a sweet little hug!
We don’t know everything Kayda has been through, so she’ll need a patient family willing to give her time to decompress and build confidence in her new home. She’s still working on her leash skills, and new places and car rides can be a little scary, but with treats, encouragement, and a little patience, she’s making progress! Kayda has so much love to give, and is going to blossom into the most loyal best friend. All she needs is someone willing to give her the time, love, and safe place she deserves.
