Story: Foxie was saved from euthanasia with her fam

Meet Foxie! After coming to PHR from a rural shelter terrified and caring for her puppies, Foxie was the BEST mama. Now that her babies are ready for their own homes, it’s finally her turn. Foxie is an incredibly sweet, gentle girl who would never hurt a fly. She can be nervous in new situations and needs a quiet home, patient dog-savvy humans, and someone willing to let her build trust at her own pace. She tends to feel most comfortable with women, but has warmed up to certain men with time! 

Once Foxie trusts you, you’ll have the most loyal little shadow by your side. She’s potty trained, LOVES other dogs, wants nothing more than to please her person, and absolutely believes couch cuddles are a necessity. She loves walks and will need continued leash work, especially around her squirrel and bunny friends! Because Foxie can be a flight risk, a secure yard and careful management around exterior doors are a must. She would also do best in a home without young children where she can truly relax and feel safe! 

Foxie may need a little more patience than some dogs, but the love she gives back is SO worth it. She spent her first chapter protecting and caring for her babies. Now, she deserves a chapter where someone protects her, loves her, and shows her just how wonderful the world can be.
