Story: Nash was saved from euthanasia at the OKCAW
Nash is the ultimate velcro dog and total lover boy! He forms strong bonds with his people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether he’s snuggled at your feet, getting carried like a baby, or showing off one of his favorite toys, Nash is happiest when he’s with his family. He loves other dogs and would do best with a playful canine companion who matches his energy and enjoys having a best friend. He also loves cats, but because he can be overly enthusiastic and doesn’t always read boundaries well, he’d do best with a confident, dog-savvy cat. Nash is mostly potty trained when kept on a routine schedule, does fine in a crate when needed, and enjoys car rides once he’s in the car. He loves toys, chew sticks, dog parks, and spending time outdoors, though he’s more of a short-walk guy than a hiking buddy.
Nash thrives on companionship and would be happiest with a family that is home often or can include him in their daily life. He can be reactive when unfamiliar people approach him quickly, but when given a proper introduction, he warms up well! His foster family has watched him gain confidence and adapt beautifully to household routines, and they believe he would continue to flourish with training and guidance. He does well with respectful older children, but his playful mouthiness may be a little much for toddlers. Nash is truly a loyal, affectionate best friend looking for someone who will embrace his clingy, loving personality and give him the attention and companionship he craves.
