Meet Lester! This sweet senior gentleman is looking for a cozy home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love, naps, and his favorite thing, being close to his people. Lester is a true shadow dog. He loves following his humans from room to room and is happiest when he’s nearby, keeping you company throughout the day. Most of his time is spent snoozing in a comfy spot, making him an easygoing addition to just about any home. At bedtime, he’ll happily settle in near your bed, content knowing his people are close by.

One of Lester’s most charming traits is his adorable little howls. They’re guaranteed to make you smile and are just one of the many things that make him so special.

Lester is crate trained and does well in his crate when needed. Like many senior dogs, he’s still working on consistently letting his people know when he needs to go outside, but he’s making progress with a regular routine and a little patience. He’s also great with other dogs and cats, making him a wonderful fit for a variety of households.

Lester does have kidney disease, so he’ll need an adopter who is committed to supporting him with a special diet and ongoing care throughout his life. Despite this diagnosis, Lester continues to enjoy the simple things… a cozy bed, a loving family, and plenty of time spent close to his favorite people. Lester may be in his senior years, but his heart is full of love and devotion.
