Story: Snorlax was born in rescue to mama Zadie, adopted out as a pup and recently returned due to no fault of his own
Meet Snorlax! Snorlax is part of our Pokémon litter and was born on April 24, 2025. He was recently returned to Puppy Haven through absolutely no fault of his own after his family moved to a new continent, so this sweet boy is back with us and looking for his forever home! According to his sister’s DNA test, Snorlax is quite the mix: 36% Saint Bernard, 29% Australian Cattle Dog, 21% Mini Aussie, and 14% Great Pyrenees. He’s currently around 65 pounds but on the skinnier side, so he has a little filling out left to do!
Snorlax is an incredibly sweet, gentle boy who is still learning just how big and exciting the world can be. He doesn’t seem to have experienced a ton of new places and things as a puppy, so right now we’re working on building his confidence and showing him that exploring can be fun! He does great walking on a leash, although there are approximately one million smells, people, and interesting sights that require his attention along the way. He’s already making great progress, but Snorlax will need a family willing to be patient with him, continue exposing him to new experiences at his pace, and help him become the confident, brave boy we know he can be. And once he trusts you? Snorlax LOVES to be loved. He will happily accept every belly rub and ear scratch you’re willing to give and absolutely adores affection from his people.
He’s also highly food motivated and eager to please, which makes training with him so much fun. He is fully potty trained and knows sit and kennel. While he’ll need continued training in his new home, he’s smart, loves to learn, and is very willing to work when treats are involved. Snorlax is great with other dogs and previously lived in a home with kids, so he already has some experience being part of a busy family! However, we do not recommend him for a home with cats. Snorlax is a sweet, sensitive boy with so much potential. He just needs a family willing to help him keep building his confidence, learning new things, and discovering how good life can be. In return, you’ll get one very lovable (and very handsome) best friend.
