Story: Miller was adopted out as a pup but recently returned due to no fault of his own

Miller is a big, gentle bear of a dog with the sweetest heart. He starts off a little shy around new people, but with patience and warm energy, he warms up quickly and shows his true snuggly, loyal self. Once he trusts you, he wants nothing more than to be close, whether that’s cuddling on the couch, following you from room to room, or snoozing at your feet.

He currently sleeps peacefully in a crate but would happily trade it for a spot in bed. He does well with other dogs (he’s fostered with two energetic Aussies and keeps up just fine!).

Miller is still learning to feel secure with food and toys, and may guard them occasionally. Due to this and his size, we recommend him for a home with kids 5 and older. With consistent structure, reassurance, and love, he’s showing progress already and seems eager to keep learning! He responds well to corrections and is very smart and eager to please!

He’s potty trained and learned his way around the dog door quick. He pulls a little on a leash and can be shy in new situations, but he’s responsive, loves praise, and wants to please his humans!
