Story: Stryker was surrendered to us by his owner

Say hello to the most striking dog, Stryker! He is a Heeler mix and is around 1 year old. He was surrendered to us by his owners, and has since been placed in a loving foster home. Stryker has been with us for awhile, however, he hasn’t given up on his forever home!

He is smart, energetic, and practically radiates happiness when he’s with you. Like other Heeler mixes, he craves daily exercise, and would do wonderfully with an active family that will include him on adventures like fishing, hiking and road trips! 

Despite his love for adventure, Stryker does best in calm environments. He can get anxious when things are chaotic, so a relaxing environment is a must. When it comes to his forever family, he’ll do best with older teenagers who understand and respect dogs, especially herding breeds. He is still working on boundaries, and needs some space as he learns to feel safe and secure with his new family.

Stryker loves his doggie friends! He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys going on walks with them or playing in the backyard. Another dog in his home will help him be more comfortable as he works on his confidence. He does great in the house and does well in his crate when it’s necessary. He is also potty-trained!

He has come so far when it comes to gaining confidence. A long-term home would give him the stability he needs to truly flourish. Stryker promises to be your adventure buddy for all the things, if only you’ll take a chance on him.
