Story: Ruger was surrendered to us by his owner

Ruger is a sweet boy who is slow to warm up. He is still learning to trust people. He is great with other dogs and loves to chase squirrels in the yard and squeaky toys. He has not been cat tested. He is potty trained, sleeps in his fosters bed at night and in the crate when fosters are gone during the day. He is learning how to walk on a leash and doing well. He is around children but scares easily when there is a lot of activity and quick movements. He tends to likes the safety of his crate when he feels overwhelmed. He would do best in a home with another dog to help build his confidence, older children if any and someone who is patient in gaining his trust.
