Age: 2.5 years
Breed: Poodle (full)
Story: Raymond was rescued in the Oklahoma Animal Alliance breeder raid
Everybody LOVES Raymond! I mean, what’s not to love?!
If Raymond could plan his perfect day it would include walks, car rides, and human cuddles… all day long. He is doing well with leash training and is happy and wagging his tail when he knows he gets to go outside.
Raymond has lived most of his life with other dogs and is extremely dog-friendly and submissive. He has zero food aggression and loves to interact with his pet companions. He would do best in a home without cats.
Raymond sleeps in a crate all night long and as long as he knows his human is close by, he is quiet through the night. His foster also leaves him out at night with the bedroom door shut and he does great then too.
Raymond loves children and does great with older kids who want to love on him. He is potty trained and very motivated by treats. Poodles are extremely smart and he is learning every day.
Due to Raymond’s tough start to life, he needs a family that will be patient while he warms up to them and builds his confidence in a new home. His first reaction to strangers is to flee, but with unconditional love, his mindset is changing. This guy is full of love and he just wants to be loved in return. He’s the perfect fit for an active family, or an individual who wants a lifelong companion. He is a loyal and gentle giant!
Raymond is 55lbs. In a perfect world, he would have a nice size yard to run in and play with other dogs.
MEDICAL NEEDS: Raymond does have environmental allergies that will require lifelong management to limit chronic ear infections. He is well managed on Apoquel prescribed by his vet currently. He is a candidate for immmunotherapy should his forever family want to pursue.
