Age: 1.5 years
Breed: Coonhound/Pyr mix
Story: He was born into our rescue & adopted, but recently returned.
Ox is a gentle giant. He absolutely loves everyone and everything. Ox was a Covid puppy, and therefore did not receive much socialization in his first year of life. However, that is not holding him back one bit. He may be a little slow to warm up, but once you gain his trust, he his a huge love bug. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is working on leash training and other house manners in his foster home (no jumping, sit, etc.)
He will need a family with a good privacy fence that is willing to supervise him while he’s outside or Leah’s walk him. He gets along with his dog foster siblings and would love a friend his size to play with! He also did well with his cat foster sibling. He’s been around kids 6+ and done well with them as well. He and his litter mates have great temperaments! Ox is a very chill guy that’s gets along with pretty much everyone and everything and is just happy to be there! He would make a great addition to any family!
Fun fact: He LOVES the water and swimming in his foster family’s pool.
Tallie, the mother of the Farm litter, was diagnosed with sub-aortic stenosis, which is fatal.
The good news is that it is very rare for puppies to have the disease passed down; however, there is still a small chance. Before moving forward with your application for Ox. Please understand this is a possible commitment you’re making if your application is approved.
