Story: Laurel was found a stray and gave birth in her finders shed
Laurel is a 1½-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with a big heart and a bright mind. Don’t let her photos fool you.. she’s much tinier in person, but her personality fills the whole room. She’s a total star in her crate, loves going for walks, and adores playtime with her favorite toys. She’s a sweet, eager-to-please girl who loves to learn and is always ready to work! Laurel has been receiving training to become the very best version of herself, and she truly shines during her training sessions.
True to her breed, Laurel thrives when she has a job to do. She prefers engaging in activities that challenge her mind and body rather than spending the day lounging on the couch. If you’re looking for a pup to get started with dog sports or an adventure buddy, Laurel might just be your perfect match! Because she’s such a smart and driven girl, Laurel does best with structure and clear expectations. Having consistent routines helps her feel balanced and prevents her from inventing her own “fun” activities.
When it comes to other dogs, Laurel benefits from slow, thoughtful introductions. She can get a bit overstimulated around other dogs, but continued obedience training and structure is helping her learn to maintain a neutral state of mind in their presence.
Laurel will thrive in an active home that’s committed to continuing her training journey and giving her the mental and physical outlets she craves. In return, she’ll reward you with loyalty, enthusiasm, and endless love!
