Story: Finley was found as a stray

Finley is the most wonderful lady and has come out of her shell so quickly, She’s so sweet and trusting once she has a few days to settle in!

She loves to play outside, either with you or other dogs, and is learning how to play tug and fetch (although she prefers playing a very bouncy game of keep away at the moment!). She’s crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night or when her fosters are gone during the day, as well as going to into her crate when she wants a quiet, safe space. While Finley hasn’t had any accidents, the only way she’ll let you know she would like to go out is by staring at you silently, so we keep an eye on her if she explores other areas of the house (but this is rare, she likes being near her people).

She’s great with other dogs – playful but very respectful – and doesn’t mind cats. Finley would thrive in a house with another dog to help her build her confidence, since she watches everything her foster siblings do and learns fast! While she hasn’t been around kids, since she is timid around new people, she’d probably be best with older children! She naps quietly on the couch when her foster mom works from home and while she likes to chew, she will limit it to toys if she has them around. Finley is perfect on a leash and adores going on walks!
