Story: Channy was rescued from a hoarding case
Meet Channy! An 8 month old hound mix we rescued from a recent OAA hoarding case. She recently had one of her back legs amputated. Her start to life was rough, but we’re hoping she gets a second chance at the life she has always deserved! She will need a special person to be patient with her as she learns to trust again and live a normal life in a home setting.
Channy is a very sweet and shy girl but is opening up in her foster home after a couple weeks of being there. She takes a little bit of time to warm up. She still occasionally barks at the other people in the home. She is fine with the cat in the home. She would be great in a chill environment. She is crate and potty trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night! She corrects well to “no” when needed.
We’d recommend no children or dominant/high energy pups at this time in her life, as she acclimates to home life! She gets along with the calm dogs in her foster home well and loves to be outside with them. She recently had to have a back leg amputated due to not getting the care she needed. But she is getting around well! A ramp does help her to get up on the couch. She loves attention from her one person and is so loving. We’re sure with time, she will open up more to others. She is learning to trust people and needs some grace with where she’s at! She’s a very special girl who loves her people.
